Maharashtra Gram Darpan (MGD) has been established in 1998 and Registered as Trust by the Charity Commissioner AMT. Bearing No. MH7979/AMT F-7197 in 1998. Since Then We have Continuosly Working in Villages for Straggling Women and Unemployed Youth. We have Established so many Ladies BACHAT GAT that so many GAT Still Running Satisfactory. Came into exitstence as a result of the motivation and personal initiative of its Founder Mr. Ravindra Himmatrao Deshmukh, To Enhance the Socio-Economic Status of the Under Privileged people. Hailing from a Rural Family, The founder was no Stranger to hardships faced by the under privileged having overcome economic and social challenges due to the backing and economic blessing from certain elder society leaders, The Founder set out to do his best to make a positive difference in the Lives of Fellow under privileged. Working with a team of committed people.
MGD Aim has been to Secure Integrated Development Through People's Participation. The key Areas Indetified for Interventions Include Child Rights, Education, Health and Hygiene, Sustainable Livelihood, and women Empowerment. Our efforts have developed lasting association with Govertment, Non-Govertment and Corporate Organization as aslo with the cimmunities and group with whom we have worked. We have come a long wau following a small beginning in june 2001, and have implemented a wide variety of projects related to Women and child rights for chande, Reproductive child Health Care, Quality Education , Watershed Development, Waterland Development, Tribal Development, Low Cost Sanitation alternate Energy Sources, Self-help Groups, Vocational Training to Youth, and Women Empowerment in Amravati District of Gujrat State in India.

We have always endeavored to develop skills and competencies of the local communities with a view to enabling them to operate and maintain the assests created Through the implementation of the projects on sustainable basis. This Philosophy of ours has led us to adopt a holistic and participatory approach to Rural Development . We Believe in inclusive approach covering all the section of the society particularly the under privileged, in a village. We work with the existing village level for creating new ones wherever necessary through participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Approaches, Principles and techniques.
